We all have a story

Hello and a warm welcome to you.

I'm Chantal and this is a little bit about my story.

I came to psychotherapy as a 2nd career after over a decade working within the dance industry, first as a dancer, then as a choreographer and creative movement facilitator; movement and the body have always been my passion.

Now here's the part of my story that I never used to share; despite being a dancer and an advocate of mind-body wellness, I spent years living completely disconnected from my own body, in a state of burnout, and for a long time I wasn't even aware of it.

It was these experiences that moved the needle for me and inspired a deep dive into learning about my nervous system, training in integrative somatic practice, and later as a psychotherapist. I re-invented my career, and blended everything I'd learnt into what became Chantal Francis Therapy.

I'm here to support you on your unique journey, let's begin!

Learning to witness ourselves through the lens of compassion, enables us to recognise the humanness in all parts of us. It allows us to attend to our process with deeper acceptance and understanding.

Self-compassion is key to self-acceptance.

Self-acceptance is a pre-requisite to personal growth.
